Design Manager - Event Production

Our client, a large scale event production company, is looking for a Design Manager to join their team! In this role, you’ll use your production and spatial design skills to craft exciting and innovative spaces for some of the biggest events in entertainment: you’ll manage the design process from concept to completion, including creating pitch decks; translating marketing and creative objectives into design solutions; leading the design team in the production of all design deliverables; managing team bandwidth, deliverables, timelines and budgets; meeting with clients or upper management to explain strategies and solutions; and ensuring visual communication and brand standards are met. In this role, you’ll lead the design, development and detailing of large-scale interactive exhibition elements and environments: you’ll ensure that artistic intent is maintained throughout the design project; coordinate with other internal and external teams to create durable and maintainable designs compliant with structural and material requirements; conduct ongoing hazard analysis on a variety of exhibits, prioritizing guest safety and operation concerns; and develop and maintain department drawings, among other tasks. In this role, you’ll be an integral part of the organization, ensuring the successful development, planning, execution, and closeout of all aspects of the construction program throughout various project lifespans. You’ll be responsible for construction project schedules, establishing critical path tasks to ensure the desired completion date with an eye towards risk mitigation; you’ll work with various internal teams to ensure the project is executed within schedule constraints; serve as the primary liaison for external parties; review, coordinate, and approve contracts; develop and oversee all budgets related to construction; coordinate the receipt, storage, and installation of items during the install phase, and manage facility planning, among other tasks. Lighting Systems Designer - Themed Entertainment

In this role, you’ll oversee all architectural and show lighting systems design for internal operational facilities, exhibitions, events, traveling exhibits/shows, and other special projects: you’ll draft all architectural/show lighting drawings; work closely with internal parties to ensure all lighting needs are accounted for, and liaise with contractors and site managers to oversee on-site hardware installation and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the success of lighting systems. In this role, you’ll work hand-in-hand with the Electrical Systems Designer to design and review electrical and lighting systems for company wide projects. Electrical Site Project Manager (Contract) - Themed Entertainment

Our client, a themed entertainment organization focusing on interactive multimedia and art experiences, is looking for a contract Electrical Site Project Manager to join their team for an exciting new exhibit being completed in Las Vegas! In this role, you’ll support the construction and installation of a brand new attraction: you’ll work with various internal teams to ensure the project is executed within budget, timeline, and construction constraints; manage all design drawings, fixture schedules, and supplemental documentation; ensure that all designs are buildable as drawn; schedule tech systems, code compliance, and field inspection reviews; and assist with the integration of tech systems into existing electrical infrastructure systems, among other tasks. Your experience and knowledge of working on a construction job site with an electrical contractor crew will make you the perfect candidate to act as the on-site owner’s rep, answering all questions and coordinating the work of electrical and low-voltage contractors, as well as A/V, lighting, security, and SFX integrators on the job site. Manager, Interior Design - China

Our client, a global entertainment and tourism destination, is looking for a Manager to lead their Interior Design team on an exciting new project! In this role, you’ll serve as both the primary liaison to external contractors and representative of the in-house creative team to ensure artistic intent is followed over the project’s lifetime: you’ll develop budget and implementation plans for design, construction and procurement, direct finished selections, materials, and plans and ensure that everything falls within budget, answer questions from consultants and vendors and provide resolution to any issues, document presentation materials, sketches, and visual aids, oversee the RFP process, and provide progress reports to management, among other tasks. In this role, you’ll oversee all electrical systems design for themed entertainment projects: you’ll draft all schematic, voltage, and network drawings; oversee electrical sheets on project electrical plans; work closely across multiple internal departments to ensure all electrical needs are accounted for; and liaise with contractors and site managers to oversee line voltage and low voltage infrastructure installation. Your knowledge of Exhibition/Show technical systems such as Show Lighting, A/V and Show Control Systems will make you the go-to person, ensuring the success of all electrical systems.
