SPFX Senior Technician, Themed Entertainment

Our client, a leading themed entertainment design, engineering, and fabrication firm, is looking for a skilled Senior Technician skilled in special effects design and fabrication to join their team! In this role, you'll use your strong technical theming background and your proven leadership skills to work on a variety of top level attraction effects: you'll review blueprints, develop daily and weekly plans and goals, conduct daily inspections to ensure work is completed to an acceptable quality control standard, monitor progress, and provide hands on support in the testing, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of themed elements. 

You should have: 
- an Associate's degree, or an appropriate vocational trade related education and certifications
- minimum five years of experience in fabricating, installation, and troubleshooting in technical theatre, props, or theming, with three years of experience within a supervisory role
- extensive experience with carpentry, cabinetry, machining, and welding
- thorough knowledge of and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks
- excellent communicative, collaborative, project management, and time management skills

Theming Designer

Our client, a leading custom creative design house, is looking for a Theming Designer to join its team! In this exciting role, you'll use your creative skills and understanding of industrial design and 3D rendering to contribute to the creation of exciting props and special effects for use in theme parks, film, retail, hospitality, and more!  In addition to your design expertise, you'll also use your knowledge of fabrication, materials, and installation to participate in pre-production and design meetings, determine design details and specification, and ensure that creative intent is honored. 

You should have: 

- a minimum two years of experience in solid modeling and creating 3D forms [experience with Keyshot a plus!]                                                                                                                                      - thorough knowledge of and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
- proficiency in Solidworks, AutoCAD, Rhino, Zbrush, Fusion 360 and/or Maya

Architectural Talent [Entertainment]

Our client, a notable entertainment company, is looking for top tier Architecture Talent to join its team! You'll use your architectural chops and construction administration experience to support large scale project development: you'll create full architectural drawings, sketches, and models, monitor field construction to identify and resolve inconsistencies between execution and design intent, assist with managing and coordinating between third party vendors and internal teams, and ensure that deliverables are met on time with your guidance and suggestions on budget, design, schedule, code requirements, selection of resources for the projects and different strategies for execution. You’ll also assist with proposal documents, the pre-qualification and selection process of potential Architecture and Engineering vendors, responding to questions during the proposal process and the analysis of the development for vendors. Creative Director - Theme Parks

A global themed entertainment company is actively seeking an experienced In-Field Creative Director for an exciting project! In this role you will bring your knowledge of media based attractions and rides through to full production and installation on an international project. You’ll liaise with cross functional teams [designers, programmers and vendors], collaborate with producers and drive the project and team through all phases to successful completion. This is a 2 year contract role located in China.

You should have:
- A minimum of 9+ years of experience in themed attractions
- Experience with dark rides and media based attractions
- Deep knowledge of the design and technology requirements and elements for large scale media based attractions
- Experience working on international projects
- A proven record of successful in-field implementations of attractions
- Ability to collaborate with various disciplines inclusive of scenic, programming, lighting, AV and others
- A valid passport and ability to obtain a Chinese visa [assisted]

Technical Manager, Show/Project

Our client, a global themed entertainment company, is looking for a Technical Manager well versed in set design to join its team! In this role, you'll be responsible for managing the fabrication, installation, testing, and implementation of all visual scenics for various projects. You will work with and coordinate multiple vendors, design consultants, and contractors throughout both design and implementation stages. This entails traveling to vendor facilities in order to track progress, quality, and creative intent review and approvals. As Technical Manager, you’ll also flex your project management skills by monitoring production expenses and ensuring all developments comply with any relevant codes and regulations. 

 

You should have: 

- A Bachelor's degree in Set/Scenic Design, Architecture, Building Construction, or an equivalent combination of education and Scenic Construction experience

- Minimum 5-7 years design, production, and project/contract management

- Experience in field construction specific to set/scenic, creative architecture, and the theme park industry

Technical Creative Manager - Theme Parks

Our client, a worldwide entertainment company, is looking for a Technical Creative Manager to join its team! In this role, you'll provide technical guidance and vendor management, including but not limited to specification, production, installation, and acceptance testing, and ensure that all ride/show equipment and elements (show/ride systems, set/scenic, props, animated figures, ride mechanical systems, etc.) are maintained to the highest level of safety in accordance with internal, local and state standards. You'll also serve as liaison between internal and external technical attraction personnel.

 

You should have: 

- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 

- Minimum 5 years related experience [theme park or contract law specific experience highly preferred] 

- 1-3 years experience in in-field installation

- Minimum 1-3 years vendor & contract management experience 

- P - Licensed Professional Engineer (State of Florida)
